How do you feel about his execution? I really don't believe in capital punishment, I am as strongly against that as I am against abortion. To me, murdering a murderer is stooping to his/her level. Plus, Hussein didn't even realise he was doing anything wrong. He WAS insane. Therefore, I feel sorry for him. I don't believe anyone deserves to die for what they've done. Everyone is capable of goodness. Though some do say I am optimistic to the point of foolishness, I disagree. I feel I am just able to see the good in people even when it's harder to see. There is good even in murderers, terrorists, rapists, and the like. No one is born evil.

Well, not to go off topic, but before I answer that question, how do you feel about Osama bin Laden? Do you feel the same way about him?
I say let the punishment fit the crime!
And I'm sure that if bin Laden is ever caught, that is if he doesn't die first, that same level of punishment, or something similar to it, will be dealt out toward him and his henchmen as well.
Saddam heartlessly murdered scores of people who suffered at the hands of his brutal inflickting horror!

How do you feel about his execution? I really don't believe in capital punishment, I am as strongly against that as I am against abortion. To me, murdering a murderer is stooping to his/her level. I think his execution may have come at a bad time, but I still believe that he should have been executed. Though, I am a supporter of Capital punishment. Plus, Hussein didn't even realise he was doing anything wrong. He WAS insane. I suppose you would say Hitler was insane, too (not that I support Saddam or Hitler in any way). But in fact, both men were quite smart. The only problem was, that they were driven by radical ideologies, and greed, which drove them to do evil. Saddam knew what he was doing. And what he was doing was trying to keep his Ba'athist party in power. That is why he gassed the Kurds, and eliminated any other separatists or political enemies. There is good even in murderers, terrorists, rapists, and the like. No one is born evil. In murderers and rapists there may be, and they may actually be insane. But honestly, terrorists, especially modern day Islamic terrorists, see themselves as the good guys. They believe that the almighty 'Allah' is on their side, and see the West, and particularly America, as the ultimate evil. These terrorists are also driven by radical ideologies spread about by people (such as OBL) who want to carry out political attacks on the West. And let's not forget, these people are willing to turn themselves into human bombs for their cause. So I find it hard to believe that there is good in a terrorist, at least by western standards.
